2026-27 Safe and Inclusive School Plan

Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.

Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.

The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.

Key Priorities and Goals

In our second year, we are deepening our shared understanding of what a kind and respectful school environment looks and feels like by continuing to prioritize empathy, compassion, and kindness in all interactions.

We are doing this to strengthen and sustain the expectations established in our first year, ensuring that all members of the White Pine community consistently demonstrate respectful and inclusive behaviour—both in person and online—and take an active role in fostering a culture where everyone feels valued, supported, and safe.

Key Actions or Strategies

1. Ongoing, explicit teaching across all grade levels that promotes how kindness, respect, and inclusion support positive mental health and well-being.

2. Consistent messaging that reinforces a positive and inclusive school culture, highlighting kindness, compassion, and shared expectations through social media, newsletters, and school-wide displays.

3. Intentional use of our monthly character trait program to reinforce expectations and provide opportunities for students to practice and be recognized for demonstrating positive, inclusive behaviours.
